A Happy Easter

April 30, 2011

A gorgeous vintage Easter postcard to share with you …

We had a lovely Easter!

I love all the fresh colors of the season.

This year I used personalized eggs instead of place cards at the dinner table.  These two were for my grandparents who will be celebrating their 68th wedding anniversary this May 6th!

We go a little crazy coloring eggs around here!  My little secret is that I don’t hard boil the eggs.  Yes, there are a few casualties!  But that way we can have fun dyeing tons of eggs and they won’t go to waste.

My elder daughter, who is 12, loves to garden.  She planted Geranium cuttings for everyone to have as favors.  She used tin cans for the pots, added some cheerful ribbon and Easter grass for a fun and easy gift.

My younger daughter, who is 10, has as many hobbies as her mother!  One of her latest is making little felted animals.  She made these colorful bunnies for everyone to take home with them.  Aren’t they sweet?

See you all later!
