Twas the Week After Christmas …

The week between Christmas and New Year is actually one of my favorites.  Most of the wonderful chaos of Christmas has past and it’s a perfect time to relax, spend time with loved ones and enjoy some of the sights and sounds of the Season you were too busy to really take in before!  So, get that fire roaring, sit in a comfy chair and enjoy your all of your pretty decorations; play a game with the kids, and have a yummy cocktail … I know you’ve earned it!

I love this cocktail anytime, but it’s lovely to add a little Christmas kiss to it with some crushed candy cane around the rim.

Christmas Kiss Cocktail

Mix together:
2 oz. vodka
2 oz. cranberry juice
1 oz. orange liqueur
1 oz. lemon juice

Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker over ice, give it a good shake and pour into pretty glasses you’ve rimmed with crushed candy cane.  (Put a candy cane in a freezer weight zip lock bag and gently hit it with a hammer or something heavy – run a wedge of lemon around the rim of your glass and then dip it into the candy.)  As an alternative you can make your cocktails ahead of time and chill them in a bottle in the refrigerator.  You can easily multiply the recipe to make any amount you desire.  Enjoy!

Popping by to wish you a Happy New Year Coleen!

Will you be attending any art events this year?

I just signed up for The Gilded Life’s art event in Dallas in June and can’t wait to go 🙂

Love,
LuLu~*xoxo
